MS: Hello everyone, thank you for answering our questions … How are you?

Hello, I’m feeling very good, thank you. I’m just about to leave for our Europe in Ecstasy Tour Part 2, so it feels a little like as a child, the day before vacation.

M.S: As it is the first time that we are interviewing you in Metal Symphony, we would want you to introduce yourself to our readers and tell us a little about how the group was formed, what style do you play… etc …

We are Kissin’ Dynamite, formed in 2007 in Germany, never changed our line up ever since and it’s our mission to bring back Stadium Rock. From the very beginning, we were influenced by great bands our parents had heared, like The Scorpions, AC/DC, Iron Maiden or Guns n Roses. So we started the band very early, when we were still school boys. That’s why though we’re still not thirty, we already released six studio albums.

M.S: We saw you playing with Amaranthe in Spain, what do you remember about this tour?

The tour with Powerwolf and Amaranthe was great. And it was quite big. Every evening, we played in front of many thousand people. It really was a privilege to get a chance like that. Particulary in spain, I remember the great weather and the summer vibes. Also very passionate crowds. And if you wanna hear a funny bus story: Once, I went for a pee in the middle of the night when everybody was already sleeping. When I was done, I noticed that I couldn’t get out anymore. I was locked. The reason was, that somebody drunk broke the door, so I couldn’t get out anymore. After considering staying there for the rest of the night, I decided to kick the door in from the inside and the problem was solved. (Though the door was completely broken)

M.S: How do you prepare this tour as headliners?

This time, we really wanted to make sure that we’re going to have a great stage setting. So, if the club is big enough, we have several podiums and even a bridge behind my drumset where our singer Hannes can jump around. Another important preparation of course is making sure that you’re healthy. That was something I had to learn. But nowadays, I start eating vitamins and zinc and stuff like that 2 weeks before a tour.

M.S: If there is someone who has not seen a Kissin Dynamite show, how would you define it?

It’s entertaining, it’s colorful, it’s explosive, it kicks ass but there’s also stuff for the heart. It’s above all about celebrating and having a real good time all together.

M.S: You have released 6 albums in twelve years, do you think it’s a good balance? Will you follow this pace?

We actually never planned it that way, but naturally it evolved like this. So somehow, every two years, we’re doin a new album. Seems to be a good pace for us.

M.S: This is the obligatory question: is new music in the works? When can we expect new Kissin’ Dynamite music?

If you read my answer from the previous question, you can imagine, that solwly but surely, we’re working on new stuff, yes. If the 2- year pace will continue, there must be a new KD album in 2020. You know, you never know what happens, but we keep it up!

M.S: How do you do after this tour?

Keep on writing new material. You know, we’re a band that doesn’t write on tour. If we’re on the road, it’s all about playing live and saving all our enery for the show. We noticed, that we’re much more efficient, if we’re taking our times off and meet in the studio in order to write without ruffle or excitement.

M.S: So far our questions came to an end. If you want to say something that has not been said, now is the moment. Thank you so much for your time and see you on tour.

Thank you for having me! The only thing I’d like to say is: Come to see us live, you won’t regret it!
