Erik: AC/DC, Whitesnake & Rainbow.

Magnus: AC/DC, Elvis, King Diamond, Deep Purple.

Entonces veremos.

¡Gracias!

ENGLISH VERSION

*Thank you very much Erik and Magnus for your time and for attending Metalsymphony, it’s a pleasure for us.

Erik: Thanks for having us!

Magnus: Thank you!

*You’re coming to Spain for the first time, and here your fans are really excited about it, it’s been a long time waiting to see you… what do you expect from this visit?

Erik: A lot of loud hard rock, drunk band members and general chaos.

Magnus: Crazy Spanish hardrockers. Lot´s of beer. Lots of laughs and lots of chaos. Hangover on Sunday.

*Your last album ‘BLEED & SCREAM’ is absolutely stunning, why did you choose this title for it, and how would you describe it with your own words?

Magnus: Achieving something great is never easy. It´s a lot of pain to go through. That´s how we look at doing this album. It was a long process. Much bleeding and screaming.

*And how would you describe the sound of Eclipse to somebody that hadn’t heard of you?

Erik: Classic hard rock at it’s best that has one foot in the past and one in the here and now.

*When you’re composing, where do you find the inspiration for your lyrics?

Magnus: Life in general basically. Every man has gone thru a lot of happiness, pain and emotions. And every man has an opinion about everything. So it shouldn´t be hard to find inspiration.

*What are your biggest musical influences?

Erik: AC/DC, Whitesnake & Rainbow.

Magnus: AC/DC, Elvis, King Diamond, Deep Purple.

*Your previous record ‘Are You Ready To Rock’, that was considered as one of the best albums of the year, was released in 2008. Why has it taken you four years to launch the next one?

Magnus: First, we are lazy as hell. Secondly, it takes a long time doing an album as good as Bleed and scream 😉 third, we´ve been as you might know involved with the W.E.T. project which took some time from us.

*How do you think it’s been the evolution of ECLIPSE since you’ve formed it in 1999?

Magnus: Basically. Our first album sucked. Our second album was poor but had a couple good songs on it. Our 3:rd album kicked ass and our fourth album is a classic.

*What are your future plans?

Magnus: We don´t think too far ahead. First we´re going to Madrid to kick some ass. Then we´ll see.

*Finally, what would you tell your spanish fans?

You can expect lot´s of rock´n´roll, beers, hellraising and mayhem on the 18:th. See you then!

*Thank you so much for your time, we’re anxious to see you soon on stage in Madrid, it will be a great show for sure. We wish you all the best.

Thank you!
