Nuestro primer show será en Nueva Jersey, EE.

ML – MUCHAS GRACIAS!

ENGLISH VERSION

M.S: Hello Mike, it’s a pleasure to have you here, How are you?

ML – I am very well. Thank you for the opportunity to speak with you.

M.S: This is already the second album of Mike LePond’s Silent Assassins. What does it give you this band that the others do not?

ML – This band allows me to share with my fans, all the influences of my past that you don’t hear with Symphony X. My biggest influences are from the classic heavy metal bands like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden. This band also gives me the chance to have total control of the songwriting process. I am free to experiment in any way possible.

M.S: Did you foresee it as something with the duration it is having? We understand that the top priority for you was Symphony X, wasn’t it?

ML – Symphony X will always be my top priority, but having the Silent Assassins gives me the chance to continually keep working. My goal would be to complete an album and tour schedule with Symphony X, and then jump right into a Silent Assassins album and tour. I love music and I never want to stop working.

M.S: What does this album has that does not have the previous one?

ML – Pawn and Prophecy is very similar to the first one. They are both based in traditional heavy/power metal. The only difference is that on the new one, I experimented by writing a 21 minute song based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth. This the title track.

M.S: How did the contact with Frontiers Music come about? A record label that although they have signed several groups of metal, is the top record company of melodic rock.

ML – I was able to secure the record deal through my management. I think Frontiers Music SRL is a perfect home for me because my style of metal is not only heavy, but it is also very melodic and at times, very folky. I can see myself on a bill with all their different acts.

M.S: Will there be any chance of seeing you presenting this album live or doing some kind of tour?

ML – I never toured to support the first record, but with Pawn and Prophecy I definitely want to play. Our very first show will be in New Jersey, USA on December 22, 2018. I am getting a tremendous response already. People are planning to fly in from all over the world. Hopefully this will lead to bigger and better things.

M.S: A possible tour unless Symphony X wakes up … Is there any chance to meet with the guys and see if you are going to continue composing new material?

ML – I have two more albums worth of songs prepared for future Silent Assassins records. I am passionate about the band and I will keep going as long as possible. I think these albums can bring back a style of metal that has gotten lost in recent years.

M.S: Are you still in contact? I guess you’ve seen that M.Romeo has released a solo album, and Rullo another one… and Allen that we haven’t heard much about him since he had the accident with Mob, we hope he could come back singing soon.

ML – I talk to Michael Romeo and Michael Pinnella all the time. We are ready to start working again. We have given Russell a year to heal after the tragic accident, but now it’s time to start rocking again. You will hear from us soon.

M.S: And to finish and as a curiosity, if you had not been a musician, what would have been your profession?

ML – If I was not a musician, I would have probably been a politician or a history teacher. I love both subjects.

M.S: Thank you for your time, it has been a pleasure to have you here, we wish you good luck with the project and with your future plans…

ML – THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
