M.S: Hi guys, how was the tour? Thanks for attending us…
AJ: Thank you. Tour is going fine. Especially in Germany, Switzerland and Holland.
Seems like their music is "Germanic". But the fans that id sho up in Spain were really energetic and dedicated.
M.S: Does "No sacrifice, no victory" means that it is the way you’ve worked for this album? That is, have you even "sacrifice" to get a good result? Explain the main concept of the title…
AJ: More in the early days for me personally. I practiced a lot when others were hanging out with friends.
This album took a bit longer to record (for the others :-)). But I think it was no sacrifice really.
General in life it’s like that though. No pain no gain. No sacrcifice no victory. Goes for everything.
M.S: This album cames again through Nuclear Blast, how is this relationship going?
AJ: Greatest label ever. Nothing less than perfect.
M.S: More than 15 years with Hammerfall, is there going to be a special event to celebrate it?
AJ: No plans.We had a 10 year aniverity album and tour already.
M.S: Which changes you can tell us about the line up through this years? At a musical and personal level…
AJ: Both 🙂
M.S: Will you take some kind of scenography on the tour? How important do you think these "extra" elements are?
AJ: for Hammerfall very imporant.
It’s part of the whole band concept.
M.S: I guess you must be proud of this album since you’ve entered into the markets of Germany, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland…
AJ:Yes, it came out great.
M.S: Every time you came to Spain, you come with 3 more bands, this time with Sabaton and Bullet… what can you tell us about them? There is not possibility to play sometime with spanish bands? Do you know any?
AJ: Sabaton plays energetic war-metal and Bullet good old rock n roll-metal.
Hard to say ith Spanish bands. If they are helping selling some tickets in the venues it’s a deal:-)
M.S: Do you dedicate exclusively to music? If not, which ones are your jobs. If yes, tell us which profession would you like to work at.
AJ.I’m an electronics engineer acually. Never worked as one though. Been a musician all my life.
M.S: You’ve been confirmed for Wacken or Sweden Rock Festival, how does it feels on a show like that you doing now comparing to festivals like those?
AJ: Feels good to play in front of 70 000 people instead of 700 🙂
M.S: I guess the most important thing right now is focus on the tour and leave the upcoming ideas for the future, isn’t it? That is, maybe you already have some ideas for the next
album…
AJ: Not really. Tour first and then the album.

AJ: Gracias. La gira está yendo bien. Especialmente en Alemania, Suiza y Holanda. Podría decirse que nuestra musica es "germánica". Pero los fans en España son muy enérgicos y dedicados.
M.S: “No sacrifice, no victory” significa la manera de trabajar de Hammerfall para este nuevo disco? Es decir, os habéis llegado a “sacrificar” para sacar un buen resultado para el disco? explicarnos un poco el concepto general del título/disco…
AJ: Más al principio, para mí. Yo solía practicar mucho mientras los demás estaban saliendo de juerga con amigos. Este álbum llevó algo más de tiempo grabarlo (para el resto 🙂 ). Pero creo que realmente no es sacrificio. Al menos no mucho más que la vida en general. No hay pena sin gloria. No hay victoria sin sacrificio. Funciona con todo.
M.S: Este disco vuelve a salir via Nuclear Blast, como está siendo la relación con ellos?
AJ: La mejor discográfica del mundo. Nada menos que perfecta.
M.S: Ya son más de 15 años de carrera discográfica, pronto nos esperará algún evento especial donde celebréis ese aniversario?
AJ: No tenemos planes. Ya tuvimos un décimo aniversario, con disco y gira.
M.S: Que cambios habéis notado en la formación durante todo este tiempo? A nivel musical y personal…
AJ: Ambos 🙂
M.S: Lleváis algún tipo de escenografía en la gira? Hasta que punto creéis que son importantes los elementos “extras” como esos en los conciertos?
AJ: Para Hammerfall es muy importante. Es parte del concepto general de la banda.
M.S: Supongo que estaréis orgullosos de este disco ya que habéis entrado en las listas de ventas de Alemania, Austria, Suecia y Suiza…
AJ: Sí, fue genial.
M.S: Siempre que venís a España venís con 3 bandas, esta vez con Sabaton y Bullet… que nos podéis decir de ellos? No habría posibilidad de algún año tocar con bandas de aquí? No conocéis ninguna?
AJ: Sabaton toca un estilo war-metal cañero y Bullet rock&roll-metal clásico del bueno.Es difícil decir bandas españolas. Pero si nos ayudan a vender más entradas en los conciertos estaría genial 🙂
M.S: Os dedicáis por completo a la música? ( Si no es así de que curran, y si es así que digan de que les gustaría o se imaginarían trabajando )
AJ: Realmente soy ingeniero en electrónica. Aunque nunca he trabajado como tal. Ser músico es toda mi vida.
M.S: Habeis sido confirmados este año para el Wacken o para el Sweden Rock Festival, que se siente en un concierto como el de esta noche y en el de un festival de grandes dimensiones como esos? Cual os gusta más y porque?
AJ: Se siente mejor tocando en frente de 70000 personas que de 700 🙂
M.S: Supongo que lo más importante ahora es centrarse en la gira y luego ya se verá, no? Lo decimos porque a lo mejor surgen ahora en la gira o ya hay ideas para un nuevo disco… es el caso?
AJ: Realmente no. Primero el tour y después el álbum.
