The 28th of october the Metal Symphony crew traveled to England in order to
attend the third edition of the increasingly popular Firefest festival. A festival
that has managed to reunite thousands of people from all over the European continent
in its mere three years of existence; in fact, Spanish fans didn’t want to miss
the event either. The venue chosen was Rock City, in the pretty town of Nottingham.

It was some sort of night club with two floors, avoiding thus an overcrowded
event. The show opened at 12 AM, long enough to enjoy a walk around the «Arboretum
Park», a little trip on the tramway or the freakiest stores in town. And after
the concert, a suitable night to learn about British tradition, since the show
coincidently took place the weekend that preceded Halloween, so we were able
to enjoy this genuine celebration in its original surroundings. That the great
European isle is the cradle of heavy metal is nothing but a fact, and genre
lovers feel especially welcome and warm, as though we belong to the family of
local rockstars and fans. The feeling was all the more special, as the opening
concert was performed by the Madrid-based internationally known band Nexx.
